Although our site was not made for children, we understand that children who are online may find our site since we do reviews for Children’s books. Therefore, we feel that it is important to establish the fact that we will not collect any information from children under the age of 18. We will not knowingly accept giveaway entries from children under the age of 18. Of course, there is no way for us to verify someone’s age, so we are trusting children and parents in this regard.
Parents – if your child who is under 18 wishes to enter our giveaways or even wishes to comment on our site, PLEASE enter the giveaway or make a comment in behalf of your child – using your information instead of your child’s.
Children – If you are under 18 years old, PLEASE ask your parents to enter giveaways and make comments for you – using their contact information.

The FTC (Federal Trade Commission) requires us to let people know if we receive any kind of compensation for books we read for our reviews. All books reviewed her came from one of the following: the library; a book we bought; given to us as a gift; given from an author/publisher/Net Galley; or won from another site. A review, while appreciated, is not mandatory. No promise of a "good" review is ever made. All reviews are the opinion of the the blog reviewer who receives no compensation for the review.
GIVEAWAY POLICYEntering a giveaway here on Alaskan Book Cafe means you agree to the following terms:
- Giveaways are only open to those age 18 years or older.
- Unless stated otherwise, all giveaways are only open to US residents.
- No entries will be accepted after giveaway deadline.
- Giveaway winner will be notified by email provided and will also be announced on the blog.
- Winner will have 24 hours to respond. If there is no response in this time, then another winner will be chosen.
- Information provided will be kept confidential. Your shipping information will be given to an author or publisher ONLY if they are sponsoring the giveaway and handling the shipping of prizes.
- Information collected during giveaway will be deleted once giveaway is completed.
- I am not responsible for items lost, damaged, or stolen during shipping.
- Entries can be disqualified if all rules are not followed.
- Alaskan Book Cafe Blog has the right to extend, change, or cancel any giveaway as needed with no prior notice.
